Maxisys Mini with 1996 Infiniti I30 problem

     Hello,

    I am unable to read DTC on my 1996 Infiniti I30 with my newly purchased Maxisys Mini.  Every time I do a scan, it'll read each computer on the car but when it reaches 100%, it complains that it lost communication with the VCI.

    Maybe on a 96  you need to use the Nissan 12 pin OBD1 style connector , often found behind the fuse access panel

     I have an Autel MD802 that can read the codes just fine on this car.


    I find it odd that the $200 scan tool can read the codes whereas the $1200 cannot.
